I am an award-winning journalist with experience reporting everything from quick-turn enterprise assignments to investigations, with a specialty in health care topics. I'm a generalist skilled in data analysis, data viz, audio, video, and photography -- multimedia elements that I frequently integrate into my reporting. My stories have exposed lapses in Mayo Clinic’s charity care system and lawsuits against indebted patients, alleged corruption within California’s mental health accountability commission, and loopholes in new legislation meant to protect patients from surprise bills.​
